In this training, FBA Wizard team member Gary takes a deep dive into the mysterious world of Amazon to Amazon flips, where you take advantage of Amazon price drops to send back in through FBA.
Before we jump in, let’s clear point missing from the last video. On the Amazon to Amazon flip, if you did not see that video, it’s one you need to check out. And get yourself up-to-speed on that.
Today, I’m gonna use “My Custom Keepa” and this is it. And if we go to deals, this is the actual one that I use. On the last one, we actually using Incognito so you can actually see how it would load from scratch for yourself. But this is the one I actually use, we can see my custom settings across the top here which will go through in a minute. And, I just wanted to clear a couple of things up with you from the first one. Couple features that I didn’t mention. So we’ll do that first. One of them, is down here you can clear “visited deals”. So for example if I select this one, and I go back, it greys you out, so you’re looking through your deals, you know which should let through, which was you haven’t, which is quite good feature.
So here’s the deals, and we set slight, it’s not something that I use because I’m using presets. But presets would completely reset this back to default. As you can see, along the top, as I’ve mentioned you in this first video, if we go to toys only. And if we look at my selection range down here, I’ve got the sales rank. The maximum of 50,000 which is about around 1% in toys. And the baby one, you can see, I have got 17,000 DVDs. Then I’ve got to search this one where I call “the 10k Look”. And, I’ve got a “20k Look” and I’ve also got a 1st look, which I then, tweak around and have a look. Do mask around that a little bit but I’ve got some presets that, umm, become very very helpful.
Let’s just go to a few older things first. Firstly, when I first saw this we have a quite few messages about the Amazon to Amazon side. I looked at some of the deals and I just thought, wow, this business too easy and it made a lot of money doing it. However, it’s not always it seems or some big margins to be made. Be mindful that you’re playing in Amazon’s spot guard and set items you buy from Amazon. They won’t play ball. You will have to bail it out if you’re not prepared to wait for prices to go back up to profitable areas. So, Amazon Flips is only part of your FBA armory. That’s what we’re talking about today. We’re talking about Keepa and how we can utilize it to flip products on Amazon.
So, I’ve not practice this so we’re just gonna go with what I would normally click. So, I’m gonna go to “First Look” first. I normally do my 10k or my 20k. So this is how I would approach it. I normally would avoid coming here everyday. So, if I go to my “First Look”, then we’ll go to percentage which then brings all the percentages to the top. And then, this little bar here is quite helpful because as you can see, it’s showing the current rank. You can look here and it’s giving you a baby snapshot of the Keepa Graph. Obviously, if we click that, we can see the full-graph and go through it but just for now, we can look there and it gives us sort of a snapshot. You can see now, that I’ve clicked that one, so it’s grey there.
So again, click. We visited it about there. So, some quick look through here and see if there’s anything that looks interesting to our account further. We’re going to the 21k one, one of my favorite ones, so we can have a look down here, and see if there’s anything interesting. This one’s 60%. We have a look at this. That’s a pan. So, we can go and look at this now on Amazon. So let’s just have a quick look at this one and looks like we’ve possibly, I think we might miss this. So, there’s the drop price there, it’s £45. Amazon usually dispatches within 2-3 weeks. I would tell, they’re out-of-stock-ish with that because they haven’t got the buy box anymore. And if you look at the difference there, it’s massive. £45 there from Amazon. £118. We can go to the graph. Amazon normally sell it for that price. We can look at the start. So, if you look at the lowest Amazon price there, it’s £45. The average that Amazon sell it for 90 days is £113.66.
So, sales rank there on an average for 90 days is 8-1000 is currently at 1000-100. It’s saying a top 1% but that’s more to do with the price drop here. So, it looks like that runs gone out. As I said to you before, if you wanted to look at that again in the future, you will go to track the product. Set this to 45. Check the product. Go back to price history. And that’s how you monitor that. And you can see, on my screen an alert from Keepa to say that has been drop because Amazon is still in the sidebar. And then also, you can see that was a new example by the way.
That would not work that way around. It was just to let you to that. So, have a quick look and see if we can see anything else on here. So click on the 20. Look at the DVDs. I’m on this type of graph. This is slowly come down on price and if you look at the bottom, the historical information here. We’ve got a little extra chart, look at the other half. Or not, if you have it basically that’s showing you how many sellers run it which you can see here that the sellers what they’re calling, they’re off account. That’s the amount of sellers on it, so you can see if you put it in here, the amount of sellers have gone up to 15. That’s always good to know on certain graphs to know how many sellers are actually on it. Not really interested in that. But quick looking baby, health and beauty. About the toys, we can look in here, this is because of a price drop. That’s Keepa’s picked this up.
Have a look in here. Look at this. This is an interesting one, FIFA 16 XBOX 360. Amazon’s price is £14.99. Let’s have a closer look here. So they come out of stock here, so when they’re out of stock, the price just go up. This is helpful here. It’s £25, £26 here. We can use the calculator just to have a quick look and see what gives us, let’s say, 25.99. That’s giving you 43% return of investment, £6. We can also check, let’s have a look, see how many sellers run it. On Amazon, we’ve got four FBA sellers on. This guy’s got 27, 47, it’s not a big issue with games. They do sell a lot of, also with the sales rank uncertainty, it will obviously sell. Let’s have a look at the graph a little bit more and see what that’s say.
What is it telling in this, it seems interesting to know that Amazon have had, in the last week here, we can see that they’ve gone out of stock there, they’ve come back in-stock there and for some reasons, they’ve come back in stock at 34.99 here in the block then dropped down, there’s a bit money to be made in there. There isn’t a lot of sellers on there and you probably flip that. And make a little bit. I always check the others. If we go to PS4, this one’s seems to be more popular than the other. It’s got the sales rank of 8. It’s obviously quite a lot. It looks like that Amazon, again, if you look at this bottom piece here, you can see where Amazon has dropped the price, the amount of sellers have increased dramatically here.
So, again, something that I wouldn’t really be doing. You get the general idea. I normally go by percentage which then puts this figure here on the top. So, again, one look at that, it’s just moved it closer to the top. Looking to more, it’s a great method and you did pans on your return of investment. How much you have to spend and how long you are prepared to wait. We’re quite full about it. But the beauty of Amazon FBA is that it sure pays and it’s your choices.
And the bad choice is you become more fussy. Hope that gives you a bit more of an insight into a Keepa Amazon to Amazon Flips, how it all works. Hope you enjoyed it and I’ll speak to you soon. Bye.
